John Ericson fbab1d485b stdenvs: Distinguish between extraBuildInputs and extraNativeBuildInputs
This version continues to use bash + stdenv/setup for the default
inputs.

Tuomas Tynkkynen 7320fa9d45 Revert "stdenvs: Distinguish between extraBuildInputs and extraNativeBuildInputs"
This reverts commit eeabf85780.

This change suddenly makes tons of stdenv internals visible in
nativeBuildInputs of every derivation, which doesn't seem desirable.
E.g:

````
nix-repl> hello.nativeBuildInputs
[ «derivation /nix/store/bcfkyf6bhssxd2vzwgzmsbn7b5b9rpxc-patchelf-0.9.drv»
  «derivation /nix/store/4wnshnz9wwanpfzcrdd76rri7pyqn9sk-paxctl-0.9.drv»
Additionally, instead of pulling them from `setup.sh`, route them via
Nix. This gets us one step closer to making stdenv be a plain attribute
set instead of a derivation.
John Ericson f6f40e3fe5 stdenv-setup and misc pkgs: Revert to space-deliminated propagated-* files
We cannot switch to line-delimited yet, because certain Nix commands do
not read in the entire file, but just the first line.
John Ericson b087618ac0 Revert "stdenv: Store one package per line in nix-support/propagated-*"
As @oxij points out in [1], this breakage is especially serious because
it changes the contents of built environments without a corresonding
change in their hashes. Also, the revert is easier than I thought.
This reverts commit 3cb745d5a6.
John Ericson 3cb745d5a6 stdenv: Store one package per line in nix-support/propagated-*
This makes those files a bit easier to read. Also, for what it's worth,
it brings us one baby step closer to handling spaces in store paths.
Also, I optimized handling of many transitive deps with read. Probably,
not very beneficial, but nice to enforce the pkg-per-line structure.
Doing so let me find much dubious code and fix it.
Two misc notes:
 - `propagated-user-env-packages` also needed to be adjusted as
   sometimes it is copied to/from the propagated input files.
 - `local fd` should ensure that file descriptors aren't clobbered
   during recursion.
Eelco Dolstra 1014620bce stdenv: Statically include the default build inputs
Otherwise, stdenv won't have a reference to e.g. patchelf on Linux
(because it was passed in by mkDerivation). This causes the installer
tests to fail, because having "stdenv" in the installation CD closure
is not enough to pull in all stdenv packages.
Eelco Dolstra 15103e5e5f stdenv: Remove the special handling of gcc
Now gcc is just another build input, making it possible in the future
to have a stdenv that doesn't depend on a C compiler. This is very
useful on NixOS, since it would allow trivial builders like
writeTextFile to work without pulling in the C compiler.
Eelco Dolstra ce50734cf0 * Started reorganising stdenv:
- gcc/ld-wrappers have been factored out into a separate
    derivation.  This allows a working gcc to be installed in the user
    environment.  (Previously the Nix gcc didn't work because it
    needed a whole bunch of flags to point to glibc.)
  - Better modularity: packages can specify hooks into the setup
    scripts.  For instance, setup no longer knows about the
    PKG_CONFIG_PATH variable; pkgconfig can set it up instead.
  - gcc not longer depends on binutils.  This simplifies the bootstrap
    process.
